From our Horamavu kitchen to your door in Kalkere.
Kalkere is its own neighbourhood, even though most maps fold it into greater Horamavu. It’s a quieter, more compact pocket — known locally for the Sringeri Shankara Mutt and Veerabhadra Swamy Temple, the Kalkere Kalyani pond and park, and a cluster of schools and colleges including Ryan International and the NMIMS campus. It sits between K. Channasandra, Ramamurthy Nagar and the rest of Horamavu, which is also why it doesn’t always get the same restaurant options as the busier main roads nearby.
Zingara delivers into Kalkere from our Horamavu kitchen — the same white biryani we cook every morning with 19 hand-ground spices, dum cooked in sealed pots, no artificial colour added at any stage. If you’ve only had the bright orange-red biryani that’s common across Bangalore, this is a different dish: milk, ghee and jeera rice carrying the colour, and the spice doing the actual work.
From the Kalkere–Agara Main Road, head toward Horamavu Main Road — Zingara sits within that stretch of Horamavu, a few minutes past the Kalkere Kalyani pond as you move out toward Ramamurthy Nagar. It’s a short, mostly straightforward drive without much need to cut through side lanes.
Note: our exact street address and PIN code are being verified for this page — use the map link below to confirm the final approach, especially after dark.
Delivery to Kalkere typically takes about 25–35 minutes from the time your order is confirmed, depending on which part of the neighbourhood you’re in and how close it is to the Kalkere Kalyani end versus the Horamavu border. Evenings and weekends run a little slower, as they do everywhere in this part of Bengaluru.
Our biryani combos — a full meal with rice, curry and sides in one box — tend to travel well and are a popular pick for Kalkere orders, along with the keema parotta for a lighter meal. Order through Swiggy or Zomato, or WhatsApp us directly if you’d rather confirm details first.
The Zingara White Chicken Biryani is the order most first-timers from Kalkere start with — it’s the closest thing to a signature dish on the menu, and the easiest way to understand what “white biryani” actually means once you’ve tried it. For bigger appetites, the White Mutton Biryani carries the same 19 spice base but leans richer, and holds up well over a short delivery ride.
Families ordering for the Kalkere Kalyani side of the neighbourhood tend to go for the biryani combos — rice, curry and sides packed together — since they travel well and don’t need much reheating. If you’d rather eat lighter, the Chinese starters and Indian mains on our full menu are just as easy to add to a Kalkere order.
